This server's on a slow Internet connection. You'll probably do best by saving these files to your hard drive before attempting to play them. There are more mp3s on the mp3s, morris bros., and covers pages. On cohorts, you can find more detail about any artist mentioned on this page

Other People's Projects - These are tracks that I've played on for other people. Some of the versions on this page are the way they were when I returned them and not necessarily the way they ended up. Where possible, I provide links to the finished versions (on their owners' sites). On cohorts, you can find more detail about any artist mentioned on this page

Givin' It Up - DModisette (6.7 MB)
Paul Russell produced this version of Dave Modisette's original song. Contributors include Donny Thompson - vocals, Ed McGlaughlin - bass, Brian Walker - brass, and Dan Sillett - keyboards. I did the guitars. Paul produced the drums and percussion and handled the mixing chores. July 2007

Daughters - JAnderson (10 MB)
This is a track I put together for one of Jim's songs. I don't have the final mix yet, so there are no vocals on this, but I'm happy with how it's come out, so far. June 2007

Nagraan 2000 - PRussell (7.0 MB)
This is a track I played on for Paul. I don't know what became of it, but I thought it was interesting. This version represents its state after I had added my tracks. May 2007

It's Hell - JAnderson (7.9 MB)
This is a track I put together for one of Jim's songs. I don't have the final mix yet, so there are no vocals on this, but I'm happy with how it's come out, so far. April 2007

Chasing the Soul - JQuarles (11.7 MB)
This is a fusion composition from John (aka "kab"). Jeff Markham's mix of this track ended up on The Exile Collection's second CD. This was my mix of the track. John's playing a lot of the guitar stuff, but I'm in the middle and ending solo sections. Cyndee Lee Rule plays Viper (electric violin) on this, too. February 2007

When the Oil Runs Out - Pluto (6.6 MB)
This is a Pluto rocker that ended up on the Exile Collection's second CD. This version is not the final, but is the state after my additions. February 2007

David - JMarkham (6.6 MB)
This track (featuring Nicole Willard on vocals) ended up on the Exile Collection's second CD. This version is not the final, but is the state after my additions. February 2007

Rock 'n' Roll Bands - CJensen (8.7 MB)
Another classic Carl Jensen track. I added bass and some lead guitar to this one some time back in the summer (!). This is Carl's mix of the track. December 2006

Baghdad is Burning - MPark (7.3 MB)
Michael posted this on the Other Place Song's forum and I solicited him to have me play guitar on it. It reminded me of a Clash track. Mike plays keyboards and sings on this (and wrote the song, of course). October 2006

Hello, Hello - The Chad Tuckers (5.7 MB)
The Chad Tuckers record at Jeff Markham's On the Mark Music. Jeff asked me to play guitar on a track they were doing. This is my rough version that I sent back along with the guitar parts. September 2006

Ordinary Girl - Dating Fate (7.7 MB)
Dating Fate is an Aussie duo - Stu and Emma. I only know them from the Other Place forum. Stu had offered up one of their tracks for some mixing assistance. Another member made a somewhat hip-hop remix out of their original version, and I did this one. The vocal track is Emma from the original Dating Fate version. Visit Dating Fate at their website! September 2006

Back of the Line - EMcGlaughlin-JMarkham (6.8 MB)
This is a '70s-ish funk tune co-written by Jeff Markham and Ed McGlaughlin. Jeff played Rhodes and performed all vocals. Ed played bass guitar, mixed, and mastered. Evan Bautista played drums. Charley Langer performed the horn tracks. I contributed guitars, clav, and organ. August 2006

Fall - JAnderson (8.3 MB)
James Anderson wrote and performed all vocals on this track. I added the guitars and all MIDI'd instruments. August 2006

Runnin' Away - CJensen (5.8 MB)
This is my first time contributing to Carl Jensen's material. I was attracted to Carl's songwriting and singing after hearing his material on the forums. Carl plays guitar, sings (all vocals), and mixed. Paul Russell plays bass guitar. I added the lead bits. July 2006

I Think You Will - JMarkham (6.2 MB)
This is a blues-based track that Jeff Markham wrote for Nicole Willard. Nicole Willard - vocals, Jeff Markham - Rhodes, Ed McGlaughlin - bass, Steve Demetrician - drums. I put in the organ and guitar. June 2006

What's on TV - EMcGlaughlin (4.2 MB)
This is my guitar as I provided it to Ed, for this track. Ed ended up going for a mellower, less bluesy mix of the track. His version is here. Players include Ed on bass, Jeff Markham on keys, Ricky Carmichael on drums, and Charley on alto (Ed's version). April 2006

Telegraph Avenue - JMarkham (5.4 MB)
Jeff, Charley, Ed, and me (530 band nucleus), with a drummer friend of Jeff's on a track by Jeff. Love the pseudo-jazzy stuff! Charley did the cool horn-section bits in the bridge and vamp out, in addition to his always-stellar alto work. March 2006

My Calling True - JAnderson (5.7 MB)
This is James' track. I programmed drums and added piano, organ, bass, and lead guitar bits. March 2006

In Good Time - JMarkham (5.3 MB)
Beautiful vocal track written by Jeff and performed by Nicole Willard. Dig that vocal! Ed McGlaughlin is on bass. February 2006

Machine - Digital Power (4.4 MB)
Pluto and I, again. Pluto wrote, sang, and performed all the tracks but the lead guitar bits, which I contributed. February 2006

RustyFunk - DStrenczewilk (3.5 MB)
This is the only track I've done, to date, with Don Strenczewilk. Don wrote and played bass on this track. I contributed the guitar. The final version is on Don's site. February 2006

Remember When - CLanger (6.6 MB)
This is one of Charley Langer's tunes. I reharmonized the melody and re-tracked the rhythm section. August 2005

Evolution - Digital Power (3.3 MB)
I played a handful of guitar tracks on this tune of Pluto's. The track continues to evolve, and my guitars don't appear in the same spots in his version. August 2005

Shining Star - JHillius (4.7 MB)
Jeff Hillius solicited some of us from the Sonar forum to play tracks on this song of his. This mp3 is Chaz Smithhisler's finished mix. July 2005 - final mix: September 2005

Tomorrow's Dreams - EMcGlaughlin (3.7 MB)
This is Ed McGlaughlin's tour de force. He wrote, arranged, and played some *bad* bass on it. I'm just happy to have been a part of it. To top it off, I like what he did to the guitar sound (this is his mix). Ron Wikso plays drums on this, Charley Langer plays alto and soprano sax, Jeff Markham plays keyboards. July 2005

City Lights - CLanger (4.7 MB)
Charley Langer is playing alto on a few of my tracks on the mp3s page. I'm finally starting to return the favor. This track is his. I redid most of the backing rhythm section tracks. They're based on what Charley had originally though -- his original version had all the ingredients. This one's not finished. Charley still intends to replace some of the parts with live players. Charley did a great job on this one. June 2005

It's About... - JMarkham (4.1 MB)
Jeff Markham (CA, USA) writes some interesting tracks, in addition to playing some tasty Rhodes stuff (and other keyboards!). This mp3 features the guitar parts I added to his original demo of this track. I really liked the funky single-note part and the Strat lead. These parts got mixed in a little differently in the final version (What, I gotta leave room for the vocals?!), but this is how I returned it. Jeff's final version is on the Music page at On the Mark Music. May 2005

Piece of Funk - BMiggins / MMorris (3.4 MB)
Brendan Miggins (CT, USA) posted a bass and drums track (I think they are groove clips of some type) to the Sonar Songs forum and solicited folks to add to it. I believe one other forumite and I were the only two to take the bait. I still like the horn and string lines in this. March 2005

North Gate - EMcGlaughlin (4.7 MB)
This .mp3 represents the guitar parts I added to Ed's original demo. Ed's final version is posted on his Soundclick site, Pleasure Avenue. Jeff Markham is on keys, Ed's on bass, and Steve Demetrician is on drums on this one. We can rock a bit when we need to! February 2005

Different Shade of Blue - JMarkham (3.2 MB)
Jeff Markham again. This is one of the first tracks of Jeff's that I heard. I was drawn to the changes - harmonic and meter! Somehow I managed to get on here. This is the version I returned to Jeff. Jeff's final version is on the Music page at On the Mark Music. February 2005

5:30 Friday - JMarkham (5.2 MB)
This one is Jeff's final version. It features Ed McGlaughlin on bass, Ron Wikso on drums, Charley Langer on alto, Jeff Markham on keyboards, and me on guitars. Chaz Smithhisler mixed. This came out very nicely, I think. January 2005

Pillar of Salt - JMarkham (4.4 MB)
This mp3 is the guitar parts I added to Jeff's original demo. I don't think Jeff has the final version of this posted anywhere. . . January 2005
